Reunion 2000

Before we move onto the Reunion photo's I would like to express my opinion of the four days I spent with the Vietnam Dog Handlers.

I could never have spent a most wonderful and experiencing 4 days with a greater bunch of guys. The stories, all the photo's, the scrapbooks that I have heard and viewed were absolutely fantastic. These brave soldiers were so dedicated, not only for what they fought for, but also for the love, compassion and dedication to their best friends
THEIR DOGS.

To have to be torned away from a year of love, had to really tear the heart apart, and then to later find out that their best friends were either killed or left behind because they were considered equipment. These best friends and brothers brought our soldiers home safe and sound, and saved many other lives in their platoons. Where did these government people have their heads when they ordered these dogs killed
IN THE TOILET?

To the guys I have met and talked to, I have enjoyed that reunion with you guys so much and I say thank you from deep in my heart for sharing your year in Vietnam and your dogs with me. You are the greatest. And I would like to say this to all of you. "In your mind you know your dog didn't come home, But YES, they did come home guys!! In your hearts and memories you brought them home, and by telling your stories, you are keeping their memories alive." And I am so glad you have included me in these memories and stories.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL AND WELCOME HOME
